About Me

Hello and welcome to the Panhandle Pantry.
My name is Teri Dempsey and I am a Stay at
home mom to two energetic toddlers. I was
born and raised in Angleton, Texas and later
competed in Track and Field at Texas A &M
University. After graduation, I moved to
Amarillo, Texas where I met my amazing husband
Daniel. He owns and operates a landscape
contractor business here in the panhandle.

In 2006, I left my full time career of 10
years as a Fitness specialist to start my
journey as a stay at home mom. Although it
has been very rewarding, it has been the
hardest job I have ever had. I went from
training athletes, teaching classes, motivating
people to lose weight, organizing big events
and being in charge of over 25 group exercise
instructors to taking orders from my three
year old, changing diapers, waking up all
hours of the night, and surviving afternoon
meltdown. However, I would not change it
for the world. It is exactly where God has
me at this time in my life.
After being home for a while, I decided I
wanted to do something to help bring in extra
money for the family and to have something
fun for me to do. I talked to friends who
were in various other companies but did not
want to pay outrageous fees to join or keep
up with all the requirements. I could barely
keep up with myself on some days. I ran across
the Gourmet Cupboard on a mommies group on
the computer and decided to give it a try.
Needless to say, it has been an answered
prayer and I love not only the business but
the easy, affordable, not to mention, yummy
mixes. I have been with the company for a
year and a half now and it has been a great
experience.
